Background

For more than 20 years I’ve been a full stack designer for awesome startups and game-changing entrepreneurs.

I graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2002 with a BFA in Industrial Design. This gave me a solid foundation in design thinking which I have applied across a variety of fields. I began by designing websites for creative professionals and small companies, before continuing into experience design & event production, and then into the broader digital marketing sector.

Most recently I’ve returned to my product design roots and I’m now looking for a full time role as part of a creative team at a mission-driven company.

A Little More Backstory

Since 2005, Douglas Campbell has been a brand consultant, community organizer, event producer and experience designer. He draws inspiration by twisting together the unexpected to create such memorable projects as MindshareLA, mixing ideas and mischief to stoke inspiration; Syyn Labs —which created the viral RGM music video for OK Go and eventually evolved into Two Bit Circus — blending artists with engineers to spur creativity; and The Tuxedo Travels, one of the earliest social media projects to combine charity with adventure. He’s consulted with numerous small businesses on growing their revenue, as well as large clients, ranging from Google to the Getty, to create memorable brand experiences

In 2015, Douglas was hired by Cross Campus, a prominent Los Angeles coworking company to help them launch their 2nd and 3rd locations.

In 2017, Douglas decided to took an experiential sabbatical. He moved to southern Oregon to be part of the restoration of a wilderness community & retreat center called Trillium. He used this experience to advise other intentional communities on how to create legal and financial models for communal land stewardship. He was also finally able to sit still for long enough to publish his first book: “The Motorcycle & The Molecule“, a mischievous adventure novel that explores alternative communities throughout the U.S. and  Central America.

In 2020, largely inspired the COVID kick-in-the-pants remote work boom, he decided to return to the professional world, launching Rogue Media as a lightning fast, digital marketing & design agency. From logos to logins, he helps clients around the globe stand out by refining their brand flavor, building web assets and crafting digital marketing strategies that help them grow their business.

In 2023 he returned to his original design roots, graduating from Dribbble’s Product Design course.
